The Story of a Cell Phone

My husband hates it when I forget to take my cell phone with me.  He also hates it when I forget to charge my cell phone.  And usually I'm doing one or the other.  He's reminded me countless times, yet I still forget.  Then yesterday I came home to a reminder I won't forget.  On the counter in the kitchen I found this story written in bold green marker:

Once upon a time there was a cell phone that was left at home when it was supposed to be in Anj's purse, so she could use it.  The End

Below, was another sheet of paper with my cell phone open on top of it.  This sheet of paper read:  "I miss your purse.  Please stop neglecting me!"

The message made me smile.  Instead of getting mad and giving me the lecture I deserved, my husband found a new way to communicate.

Anyway, what I want to say is, I'm so blessed by the man I've married.  I'm proud to be his wife.  Even though he's not a big reader, he supports my writing by saying things like, "Honey, if a husband and wife have separate dreams, they grow apart. I'm going to make your dream of writing my dream, too."  Be still my heart.

I was also surprised and touched the other night when he said, "Anj, you need to post something new on your blog.  It's getting boring."  Daniel, this is for you.  I love you.

That was so sweet! I'm right there with you with the whole charging and leaving behind my phone.

Worst thing I do is lose or leave my ATM card s-e-v-e-r-a-l times a week. =/ Just can't seem to get out of the habit!

I can't remember to charge mine. It's horrible. I rarely forget to bring it with me, but little good it does if the battery is low or dead.
