My Adopted Daughter

I had a dream last night that another couple wanted to adopt my youngest daughter Lauren. The really weird thing is that my daughter Caitlin had the same dream. She woke up crying because she couldn't hear Lauren on the bottom bunk and thought that she'd already been adopted.
I'm sure these dreams were caused by a comment Lauren made the other day. My husband asked, "Lauren, why are you so cute?" She responded, "Because I'm adopted!" She was clueless as to how perfect her timing was on that one, but we had to explain to her that she is not adopted.
I think we must have read Jamie Lee Curtis's book TELL ME AGAIN one too many times. Great book, though. And someday we want to adopt. But right now I've got my hands full with the kids I gave birth to--whether they believe it or not.

She's beautiful!! And so well loved!!! :o)
She's adorable. My siblings used to tell me that I was adopted, that would be the only reason why I was the odd ball child. lol
Thanks, Jenster. Too funny, Deb. I've heard of that happening, but I never tried it. My husband once tried to convince his younger brother that he was an angel--we all know that's not true.

She's a doll, Angela.
I used to have similar fears as a little girl. My Papaw used to tease me that my parents traded me from the Gypsies for a couple of chickens.
They had me going until I was about 6 or 7 with that one. Then someone showed me how much I looked like my Mamaw, and I knew we were really related.
Becky - my sister used to tell me I had been abandoned by gypsies and mom just felt sorry for me.
It didn't help that I didn't look like anyone in my family. But now I look just like her! LOL

So precious! We wanted to adopt as well but the timing never really seemed right. Guess we know why now. :-)
BTW, I tagged you on my blog. Come see!
Usually when my kids and I cry at the same time in the night, it's because they have woken up and then they want to climb in bed with me and then I become "angry mommy" and then the tears begin....:)
Hi Angela, that is a cute, cute story! Darling pix, too.
You are both so beautiful!
Thanks Sandy, Shanna.
