SUITE DREAMS

For our anniversary Dan took me to the Anniversary Inn. Each suite has a different theme. Dan and I stayed in the Opera House. Not only does it have this amazing tub (the shower comes out of that skinny thing on the ceiling), but the big screen TV is on a stage with a theatre-like curtain, the table is set up like box seats, and the vanity is surrounded by light bulbs as if you are in a dressing room. Other rooms include Romeo and Juliet with a balcony, Mysteries of Egypt, and The Oregon Trail where you actually sleep in a wagon train. You can check it out at anniversaryinn.com.
My Mother-in-Law was in town for Lauren's birthday so she watched the kids overnight. I got to go out for a grown-up dinner. (You know, one of those restaraunts Dan takes clients to every day for lunch while I'm in the kiddie room at Carl's Jr.) And we got massages, too. It was wonderful. Hey, I'd even stay in the Sports Room with the wall of televisions if Dan would take me there again. Hint, hint, Honey.

LAUREN'S 4th BIRTHDAY

Lauren is my Valentine's baby. At the hospital when she was born, she got a hand knit stocking cap with a heart on it and a quilt with a heart on it, too. This year she got a crazy birthday party at Pump It Up (an inflatables party place) and a Barbie cake. Isn't it amazing? My mother-in-law made it.

GOGGLE GIRL

My New Year's resolution is to catch up on my scrapbooking, so I've been downloading all my pictures to the Wal Mart website. Then I started playing around on the website, and I designed a memory book for my mother-in-law's birthday. I've titled it EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE I LEARNED FROM MY GRANDCHILDREN. The above picture goes along with the lesson: Dress for the occasion. It makes me laugh every time I see it. And it makes me long for summer. Lauren's 4th birthday is on Valentine's Day, and she asked me if we could go to the cabin (where this picture was taken) instead of Pump It Up (where her birthday party is being held.) I wish. But at least with this cold weather I'll be more likely to catch up on my scrapbooking.

SIX WEIRD THINGS

Let's see...Six weird things about me:

1) I hate it in movies and on television when people don't close the door. And in JUST FRIENDS, they drove around in the snow with the windows down. What the heck?

2) I stick a leg out from under the covers when I sleep at night. It drives Dan crazy.

3) I'm always dancing around the house. This doesn't get weird until friends come over and they catch me.

4) Dan's family calls me an Ewok--from Star Wars. I'd like to believe it's because I'm so little and cute. (He's got four brothers and they are all the size of Chewbacca.)

5) I joined a funky sock club, and I'm wearing Care Bear socks right now.

6) I love kids movies. Holes, Sky High, Home Alone, and High School Musical are just a few.

Your turn. What are six weird things about you?
